70 Tips for Using Video in Business
Volume One (1-10)
Promoting your coaching business through video can really help to get
your message out to many more people.
- 1. DIY
Doing it yourself is always a safe bet!
When you are starting out, you don't need to hire an outside firm to create your
video. People want to see who you are.
The new changes in business demand that we develop our communicative skills and expose
ourselves positively to the end user. Practice Being on camera. Do plenty of takes
(you'll need them to learn from), study effective presenters and deliver the emotional
connection to your target audience and personal emotion behind your brand.
- 2. Do It With a Partner
To help keep ideas flowing use a partner to have a more creative dynamic. Do an
interview or demonstration, or just talk— you'll be amazed at how having another
person with you changes the energy!
- 3. Sell the Product
Sure, you can get a viral video with 5 million views, but if no one knows what your product is, they surely don't want to buy it.
Make sure any video you make helps for branding and product selling purposes. So in your video, make sure the
target demographic knows what you're about and create a connection between your
product and them, so later down the road, they are more likely to invest in your
product or service.
- 4. Sell Them Before They Contact You!
If you're not placing your videos or webinars on LinkedIn(R) apps, you're
missing one of the best tools available to access 24/7 sales. Consider this. Your demographics are on LinkedIn(R). They conduct a search for "what you offer" and find your profile. Next, they view your video using the SlideShare
Presentations app. They're 99.9% sold and contact you to learn how soon you can
do "it" and the price.
- 5. Visualize Success With Your Video
Twitter is a great training ground for communicating sound advice. Transfer this skill into your video moments. Provide sound advice for your clientele, while sounding
Positive and energetic, with a smile on your face. People buy from people they
identify and connect with. You will get a great response building your brand, audience and reputation. Post the videos on social media sites & tweet the link.
- 6. What is Your Purpose?
What are you trying to get your viewers to actually DO at the end of watching
your video?
Is your intent to:
have them go to your site to buy something or get a freebie?
Are you just informing them about your site?
Sign up for a class, course or webinar?
To be intrigued and pass it on?
To be direct and have your viewers follow you to your end-result.
Have these 2 components in place:
1. A call to action that shows them the intended results; and
2. A link this to your website, so they can find out more about you.
- 7. Answering To Your Calling
A good use of video for your business is to answer all of the customer "FAQs" online one at
once. By knowing what questions your customers are asking with frequence can
help you determine what the majority wants to know.
Feature this short video and post it on your website, blog & several video
sites. Establish yourself as a "Guru", draw people who are a good match for your
business, and help them get the information they need all at the same time.
- 8. Bring a Positive Message
Use your videos to attract your readers' attention. Do your videos increase the
positive comments made and keep readers coming back? Statistics show that "how to" videos are
becoming effective tools for learning and help keep your audiences'
attention.
- 9. Annotate Your Video
Many people use videos to promote their client case studies to show the before and after effects of working with
their company.
This is very powerful and the videos tend to get attention and ranked immediately!
However, you must pay attention to what other companies in your niche are doing
with their videos and where they are placing them on their site. Pay attention
to what videos they are using to stay on the cutting edge of new ideas and
concepts.
You can use the "annotation" tool in YouTube to add a little graphic with your url
or domain name to make sure viewers know it's yours!
- 10. Here is an Online Marketing Secret
One of the best tips for using videos in business is to organize a professional and effective video that markets your
service or product and company. Expand your reach by advertising your videos online by posting them in various
different applicable places.
Videos are recognized in search engines as many times as they are posted online, as opposed to blogs which only
get recognized once. To add to this, visual aids
help us to remember.
