TAKING A DEEPER LOOK AT SPIRITUAL COACHING
By: Linda Gallicchio, CMC At this time in our world’s evolution many new and exciting ways of “seeing” and exploring spiritual concepts exist. Spirituality is dynamic, not static. It is living, breathing and ever-changing while providing new realities heretofore unavailable to us for different reasons. For example, most of us have thought that we only have the use of our five senses. This is untrue as we possess other senses making their way into mass consciousness today. More and more of us are beginning to view spirituality as a way of life and as a certain standard with which to live our lives. It is inclusive of all religions, thoughts, belief systems and actions (except when they are hurtful). We are all born with different consciousnesses and so everything is viable, accepted and not judged. We all desire to be included for our particular belief system. We want to live in harmony with others and their chosen beliefs and to exist comfortably while we navigate life in this sometimes scary world. We have been given the ability to practice our either new, or newly uncovered, expanding abilities to access our God, (source etc.) and our higher selves. Spiritual concepts include the fact that our thoughts create our feelings. We think between 40,000 and 50,000 thoughts per day. What kinds of thoughts would be your choice and what do you choose? You DO have control over them and it just takes practice. Some other concepts include intuition, energy, spiritual growth, unconscious into the conscious and the higher self. Though these are just a few of the myriad of concepts, I chose them so you could see ways in which they offer help in achieving a more meaningful and fulfilling life. INTUITION: We all intuit ourselves and other’s thoughts, feelings and energies all day long. We usually do it automatically and aren’t consciously aware that we are engaging in this behavior. With the help and guidance from a spiritual coach we can master our intuition with astounding rewards. HIGHER SELF: Choosing to grow spiritually might mean learning to access that part of ourselves that desires more self-love, wisdom, the ability to know when to act for our highest good and how to more clearly experience compassion for ourselves and others. Learning how to resist lower (negative thoughts) and attract higher (positive thoughts) to ourselves plays a huge part in being happier, wiser, contented and at peace. LESSEN PAIN BY CHOOSING TO GROW: The more you understand what you are learning from a situation (painful or not) the more rapidly you can leave it if you so choose. Learning how to forgive others without your negativity or taking on their negative energy is very useful in changing your thoughts and feelings and taking them to a higher vibration. Learn how to be unafraid of feelings. They spur you on to higher growth and the realization that all things for you and everyone are possible in the world. You just NEED TO ASK (Law of Attraction). UNCONSCIOUS TO THE CONSCIOUS: When we practice some of these spiritual concepts, we become more aware of ideas, realities and synchronicities in our lives that we may not have been able to notice before. Some of us are used to viewing the world and all that is in it in a singular way. It is not that way. So with “new eyes” and methods to understand concepts, belief systems and new and expanding truths, we will easily and naturally be able to co-exist with anyone in our world in greater depth, happiness and peace. Finally, to love unconditionally (which is a wonderful goal) is about the ability to accept other people as they are. This can be a great challenge and an incredible learning experience for you. If you master loving unconditionally, it is a great gift to yourself and others. Relationships challenge us to open our hearts and feel as much love as we can.
